We are experiencing a mental health crisis in the United States and globally. It is estimated that nearly 20% of youth globally have mental health needs. Over 50% of those with mental health concerns (including depression, anxiety, and suicidal thinking) are not getting those needs met.
Dr. K is a child/adolescent psychiatrist with over 10 years of clinical practice seeing and treating kids and adolescents. This podcast is a way to help share information about pediatric mental health for youth and families to help understand the who, what, where, and how of mental health. Topics will range from mental health basics to different diagnoses and treatment options, navigating levels of care, and others.
